This new facility was designed for a daughter congregation of the Wooddale Church. Located on a heavily- wooded site on the shores of a lake, the main design goals were to preserve and reflect the “north woods” character of the area. The building features timber-framed trusses and a grand, stone fireplace in its spacious gathering area, as well as classrooms, offices, and a “Great Hall” which seats 400. Vanman took care to design the site to preserve as many existing trees as possible, and the building was designed to expand to include a second-phase worship space for 600.
